When you’ve known someone for as long as I’ve known Victoria BC-based musician Bradley Kurushima of Prince Shima, you get a pretty good idea of what they’re looking for in terms of a brief for art direction for this album artwork. Bradley and I had discussed going the “surreal collage” route in homage to 70s and 80s fantasy and science fiction after sharing a number of mood boards back and forth. Then came the long process of finding suitable source images to painstakingly build the otherworldly landscape that resulted as the cover for this record. Overall, it was a case of the imagery suiting the Berlin-school, new age tinged electronics of Prince Shima‘s unique sound.
