Musician, writer and underground figure Nikolas Schreck got in touch to commission work on providing video editing and visual effects for a promo film he was producing for his track “This Hideous Thing”. He already had a somewhat detailed script and brief and the footage was shot by a videographer in a Berlin-based studio. The challenge here was crafting something out of the available footage that went along the lines with the available treatment. The result is a trippy epic of a video, riffing heavily on 60s counter-culture and psychedelia that works along with the hazy, narrative lyrics of this track.
